More than 300 athletes will start there, and the competition will take place in Palanga for the tenth anniversary. All participants of the championship will be able to meet the norms for the World Championship to be held in Tokyo (Japan) on September 13-21. We remind you that currently Mykolas Alekna <\/strong>(discus throw) and Gabija Galvydyt\u0117 <\/strong>(1500 m) have a direct ticket to the world championships. In addition, ranking points will be collected, which can bring athletes closer to the start of the World Championships. The qualification system will close on August 24, so all Lithuanian representatives in the World Championship should be clear in the last week of August. <\/p>\n Lithuanian track and field athletes have improved as many as 16 national records this year, so impressive results can be expected in Palanga, where there will be no shortage of action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n On Friday, 15 Lithuanian champions will be revealed, and on this day the national heptathlon record holder Edgaras Benkunskas <\/strong>(tenth, 15:00), Olympians Liveta Jasi\u016bnait\u0117 <\/strong>(javelin throw, 16:10), Adrijus Glebauskas <\/strong>(high jump, 17:00), Modesta Just\u0117 Morauskait\u0117 <\/strong>(400 m, 17:15), Edis Matusevi\u010dius <\/strong>(javelin throw, 17:35). National record holders Simas Berta\u0161ius <\/strong>(1500 m, 17:00), Giedrius Valin\u010dius <\/strong>(1500 m, 17:00) and Tomas Ker\u0161ulis <\/strong>(400 m, 17:25) will also stand at the starting line. <\/p>\n On Saturday, at 16:20 p.m., Olympians Mykolas Alekna, Andrius Gud\u017eius <\/strong>and Martynas Alekna<\/strong> will compete in the discus throw sector. Olympians Gabija Galvydyt\u0117 (800 m, 16:25 hours) and Ieva Gumbs <\/strong>(discus throw, 17:25 hours) will not miss the Lithuanian championships. A busy day awaits S. Berta\u0161ius and G. Valin\u010dius, who will first start in the 800 m race (16:35 p.m.) and later join the “Sportland” 400 m run for children (17:35 p.m.). <\/p>\n On Sunday at 11:20 a.m., everyone’s eyes will traditionally turn to the triple jump sector, where the three most capable triple jumpers in the country \u2013 Dovil\u0117 Kilty<\/strong>, Aina Grik\u0161ait\u0117 <\/strong>and Diana Zagainova<\/strong> \u2013 will seek the gold medal.
