In the first stage, two representatives of Lithuania also competed \u2013 discus thrower <strong>Martynas Alekna<\/strong> and runner <strong>Gabija Galvydyt\u0117<\/strong>. For her, it was the debut of the Diamond League.   <\/p>\n<p>The debut will be recorded in the history of Lithuania \u2013 Gabija completed the 1500 m in<strong> 3 minutes 59.74 seconds and<\/strong> became the first Lithuanian in history to run this distance in less than 4 minutes. At the same time, the <strong>Lithuanian record <\/strong>(4 min. 00, 24 sec.), which belonged to Laimut\u0117 Baikauskait\u0117, which had existed for 38 years, was achieved at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. <\/p>\n<p>Gabia&#8217;s previous personal record was 4 minutes 00.71 seconds.
