On July 15-16, the 60th LSVS (Latvian Sports Veterans’ Union) Games athletics competition took place in Valmiera. Four Lithuanians also participated in them.
Ronald Kondrat (M75) won four running events: 400 m – 1:26.85, 800 m – 3:25.10, 1500 m – 6:51.87, 5000 m – 27:42.27.
Kęstutis Abromaitis (M65) took first place in the 5000 m run (25:25.07), and was second in the 1500 m run (6:11.48).
Kazimieras Pocevičius (M75) won in the shot put (10.32), was third in the discus throw (24.61), javelin – fourth (22.41).
Giedrius Šlekys (M40) was second in the 400 m race (1:00.91).
