It is with deep sadness that we announce that Ona Nijolė PLUNGIENĖ has left us at the age of 82.

In 1976 – 1997 she worked as a coach at Kaunas “Dinamo”, “Pluoštas” and “Vilties” sports schools. Among her pupils are the multiple Lithuanian champions and record holders A.Pušinaitis, S.Kleiza, I.Avruninas, V.Kidykas, D.Plungė.

She was a person who knew how to love, care and give warmth more than words could fit. Her students are grateful for every day they spend together and for everything she left them with her heart.

We sincerely sympathize with our relatives, friends, and students.
