This year’s Rimi Riga Marathon was characterized by a record number of participants. 46313 runners from 116 countries, including 618 Lithuanians, registered to run the marathon or other losses.
In the marathon, the fastest among Lithuanians was:
Men. 11.Aurimas Rimkus 2:25:55 (gross 2:25:56), 15. Paulius Kovarskas 2:29:25 (2:29:31), 26. Mindaugas Stundys 2:41:13 (2:41:15).
Women. 6.Kamilė Vaidžiulytė 2:43:04 (2:43:06), 7. Neringa Songailaitė-Kovarskienė 2:52:21 (2:52:27), 17. Rugilė Augustaitytė 3:09:07 (3:09:19).
In the half marathon, the highest places were taken by 17. Faustas Marcinkevičius 1:11:10 (1:11:10) and 24. Ugnė Urbonė 1:28:06 (1:28:13).
In the 10 km run, four Lithuanians were in the top six:
