On Thursday, the Riga Cup 2026 competition organized by the sports school “Arkadija” took place in Riga. There were 12 athletes from Lithuania on the starting lists.
Rugilė Miklyčiūtė won the pole vault and twice improved the Lithuanian record – 4.36 m and 4.40 m. Its tests: 4.05/1, 4.15/1, 4.25/1, 4.36/1, 4.40/2, 4.50/xxx. Kamilė Petrauskaitė took the fourth place (3.35), while Elzė Kudulytė did not overcome the initial height (3.75).
Artūras Raklevičius became the winner of the long jump competition (7.40, the best result of the Lithuanian season), Algirdas Strelčiūnas was third (7.26), Laurynas Vičas – seventh (6.84)
Gabija Klimukaitė was the fastest in the 60 m hurdles qualification and achieved the best result of the Lithuanian season – 8.53 seconds. She also won the final run with an even better result and an improved personal record of 8.45 seconds.
With the best result of the qualification (7.58) Akvilė Jonauskytė made it to the final of the 60 m run, in which she was also first (7.57).
In the 1000 m run, Samanta Machankovaitė finished third and improved her personal record (3:04.03)
Nikodemas Laurynas and Kasparas Gustas, who overcame the same height of 5.13 m (the best result of the Lithuanian season), took the fourth and fifth places, respectively.
Danielius Vasiliauskas, won one of the 60 m qualifying runs (7.07), and then the B final (7.02).
