On the last Sunday of August, the Dzūkija region hosted the participants of the Alytus half marathon race.

Among the 116 runners who completed the main race distance, the fastest were:

Men. 1. Andrius Jakševičius (Sidabravas) 1:16:31, 2. Kęstutis Bikas (Vilnius) 1:17:13, 3. Daumantas Kadžius (Vilnius) 1:17:46.
Women. 1. Vaida Žūsinaitė (Alytus) 1:22:03, 2. Miglė Porvaneckytė (Ukmergė) 1:23:07, 3. Eglė Zablockytė (Panevėžys) 1:31:37.
