On Sunday, the international javelin throw competition “Ventspils Šķēpi 2026” for Olympic champion Dainius Kūla took place at the Ventspils stadium, reopened after reconstruction.

Orinta Navikaitė’s result was the best among women – 50.00 m.

Liucija Džiaugytė took second place in the youth group, flying her 500 g javelin with a throw of 50.36 m. Moreover, she competed without competition in the women’s group, finishing only behind Orinta and improving her personal best of 48.01 m.
