At the Baltic Junior Athletics Team Championship in Valmiera, Lithuanian walkers won 16 points for their team, one point less than Latvians, but 7 points more than Estonians.

The competition was held in the distance of 3000 m. Eva Kubiliūtė was the fastest among the girls (16:22.85), Laura Nesteckytė took the third place (16:59.00). Pijus Šmitas , who improved his personal record, finished second (15:03.88), Manelis Polismakas was sixth (19:24.00).
