European U23 Championship: Day One

On Thursday, the European U23 Athletics Championships began in Bergen. On the first day, 11 Lithuanian athletes fought for tickets to the next stages. Unfortunately, none of them succeeded.

100 m qualification runs (3Q+4q made it to the semi-finals). Ema Rupšytė finished fourth in the third run (11.70/-1.0), Andrė Ožechauskaitė in the second run – seventh (12.13/-0.5). Emma’s result in the qualification was 18th, Andrė’s – 26th, they failed to make it to the semi-finals. Results.
100 m qualification runs. Adas Dambrauskas did not start due to injury.
Pole jumping. Nikodemas Laurynas took 21st place in the qualification and did not make it to the final competition – 5.00 m (5.00/1, 5.15/xxx). Results.
In the 400 m fourth qualifying run, Lukas Sutkus’ result was eighth (47.28), he took 24th place in the championship. Results.
Ema Sarafinaitė took sixth place in the second 400 m qualification run (54.73), she was 21st in the overall standings. Results
in the 100 m barrier run qualification Neda Lasickaitė’s result (13.72/0.5, personal record) was 26th, and Gabija Klimukaitė’s (14.27/-1.3) was 44th. Results.
In the high jump qualification, Satera Balčaitytė took 22nd place (1.73), Evelina Bukauskaitė – 27th place (1.68). Results.
Kasparas Bačianskas, who threw the javelin 60.85 m (57.90-59.52-60.85), took 20th place in the championship. Results.
