The championships of most NCAA conferences are taking place this week.
Arlington (Texas) At the WAC Championships, Karolina Bliujutė took the third place in the 10000 m run – 36 min.14.96 sec. On Saturday, Eleonora Višnevskytė was eighteenth in the 5000 m race (18:39.75).
At the Big 12 Championships in Lawrence (Kansas), Olivia Vaitaitytė was sixth after the first day of the sevens, but after Friday’s race she rose to third place – 5509 points. Her results in individual events: 100 m b/b – 14.49, height – 1.69, shot put – 11.26, 200 m – 25.31/1.7 (personal record), distance -5.74/-1.0, javelin – 37.27, 800m – 2:14.52.
At the ACC Championships in Winston-Salem (North Carolina) on Friday, Tomas Keršulis took 12th place in the 400 m race (46.63). On Saturday, Mykolas Alekna became the champion of the conference, throwing the discus 69.86 m (66.12-69.86-x-66.00–x-69.72).
