On November 8-9, the Lithuanian Athletics Federation held training for coaches working with young and talented athletes, financed by the International Olympic Solidarity. The main lecturer of the course – Oliver Scheer , an expert in the education and certification system for coaches at World Athletics, a consultant at European Athletics – shared his insights on the peculiarities of coaching at an early age.

The curator of the programme “Athletics Talent” Evaldas Kandratavičius presented the current situation in the country and the surveys of schoolchildren.

The coaches applied the theoretical knowledge they heard by working in groups and discussing the training of junior and youth elite athletes, as well as the formats of future LLAF competitions.
