LVSxSportland Cup competition: R.Miklyčiūtė repeated the Lithuanian record (updated)

Almost four dozen Lithuanian track and field athletes competed in the LVS (Latvian Athletics Union) and Sportland Cup competition in Valmiera on Saturday.

Rugilė Miklyčiūtė repeated the records of the Lithuanian women’s and U23 age group in pole vault and became the winner – 4.35 m (4.05/2, 4.15/1, 4.25/1, 4.35/2, 4.40/xxx). Elzė Kudulytė was third (3.80), and Viktorija Neifaltaitė was fifth (3.45). After overcoming the height of 5.10 m, Kasparas Gustas (second place) and Nikodemas Laurynas (third place) improved the best result of the Lithuanian season.

The 1500m run was won by Auksė Linkutė (4:37.40, the best result of the Lithuanian season), Gabija Kazanavičiūtė finished eighth (5:16.97). Among men , Kevin Olišauskis was third (3:59.75, personal record, best result of the Lithuanian season), Aurimas Rimkus – seventh (4:07.22), Saulius Racevičius – eighth (4:09.07), Gabrielius Gaubša – ninth (4:09.32).

In the 400 m run, the second place was taken by Diana Viličkaitė (58.18, personal record, best result of the Lithuanian season).

In the 60 m final, Dovydas Jocius (7.03, fourth place) and Dominykas Urbonas (7.07, sixth place; 7.06 in the qualification) ran. Among our female sprinters, the fastest was Airūnė Čegytė (8.01, ninth place).

In the junior group, Arnas Vainorius won the 200 m run (22.94), Pijus Burinskas was second (22.96), and Denas Kupčaloitis (23.80) was fifth. Joris Broška took fourth place in the 60 m hurdles (8.46, 8.43 in the qualification). Elijus Dilys was fifth in the 800 m run (2:09.32). Šarūnas Vaitkus pushed the ball 14.38 m (fifth place).
