On Sunday, almost 200 runners ran 5000 m at the Vilnius 5000 competition organized by the Love Streams Running Club and the Lithuanian Athletics Federation at the Vingis Park Stadium.
In the elite groups, the winners were:
Women. 1.Agate Caune (Latvia) 16:10.06, 2. Vaida Žūsinaitė-Nekriošienė (Alytus) 16:17.29 (best result of the season in Lithuania), 3. Samanta Machankovaitė (Vilnius) 16:32.11 (Lithuanian 16 and 17-year-old record).
Men. 1.Simas Bertašius (Vilnius/Raseiniai) 13:31.08 (personal record while running in the stadium, the best result of the Lithuanian season), 2.Florian Le Pallec (France), 3.Enzo Marie (France) 13:37.67.
