On 20 July, the LLAF Executive Committee considered the composition of the Lithuanian youth team to participate on 5-9 August. At the U20 World Athletics Championships to be held in Eugene (USA).

Four athletes have fulfilled the standards of the championship: Ieva Šadžiūtė (100 m), Martynas Kolupaila (100 m), Kasparas Gustas (pole vault) and Justė Andrijauskaitė (athletic walking).

Kasparas Gustas is currently recovering from an injury, so he will not be able to participate in the championship. Justė Andrijauskaitė, who recently participated in the European U18 Championship, together with her coach, made a decision not to participate in the U20 World Championship and to prepare for the World Youth Olympic Games, which will take place in the fall.

Taking this into account, two athletes are delegated to the U20 World Championship – Ieva Šadžiūtė and Martynas Kolupaila.
