Over the weekend, Lithuanian athletes participated in several competitions of the WA Continental Tour.

On Friday at the Morton Games in Dublin, Gabija Galvydytė finished first in the 1500 m, improved her personal record, achieved the best result of the Lithuanian season and fulfilled the World Championship standard – 4 min. 00.71 sec. Ieva Gumbs threw the discus 58.32 m (57.16-56.54-x-58.32-x-x-x) and took second place. Urtė Baikštytė was eighth in the high jump – 1.75 m (1.75/1, 1.81/xxx). Results.

On Saturday, in the Motonet GP race in Joensu (Finland), Giedrius Valinčius took the third place in the 3000 m race (7:57.03). He improved his personal record and recorded the fourth result in Lithuania in the entire history. Results.
Diana Zagainova and Aina Grikšaitė competed in the triple jump sector. Diana took third place – 13.50 m (13.50/1.0 – x – 13.32/1.5 – 13.16/1.2 – 13.29/1.5 – 13.19/0.9), and Aina fourth – 13.48 m (x – 13.42/0.7 – 13.48/0.9 – x – 13.39/1.7 -x). Results.

Gediminas Truskauskas (200 m, 20.51/0.8, 4th place), Modesta Justė Morauskaitė (400 m, 52.30, 5th place) and Lukrecija Sabaitytė (100 m, 11.63/1.3, 11th place) achieved the best results of the Lithuanian season at the Moore – Guldensporenmeeting competition in Kortrijk (Belgium). In the 200 m race Lukrecija Sabaitytė took 8th place (23.43/1.7), in the 400 m race Lukas Sutkus – 17th place (47.05), Edvardas Aukštuolis – 20th place (47.22, personal record). Results.

In Watford (Great Britain) in the British Milers Club GP competition, the Lithuanian record in the 3000 m race was improved by Simas Bertašius – 7 min. 42.07 sec. Results.

On Sunday at the Meeting International d’Atletisme competition in Marseille, Urtė Baikštytė took ninth place – 1.79 m (1.75/2, 1.79/3, 1.82/xxx). Results.
