June 11 An ordinary reporting conference of the LLAF was held in Kaunas. In it, almost half a dozen LLAF members or their delegated representatives (coaches, representatives of sports clubs and sports centres) approved the 2025 The report of the Audit Commission, the financial statements, the conclusions of the independent auditor, the LLAF competition regulations, the draft budget for 2026. Among other things:
-Pakruojis District Sports Centre, Kaunas District Sports Centre and Volvere Run Running Sports Club Public Institution “Nesustopamas Running” have been approved as new members of the LLAF . The total number of members increased from 68 to 71;
-Once again, the achievements of 2025 were welcomed. Among them are as many as 25 national records, 2 of which are world records (discus thrower Mykolas Alekna). At the World Championships in Tokyo, M. Alekna won a silver medal.
-The main goals of this year were discussed. The nearest and most important are the European U18 Championship in Rietis, Italy (July 16-20), the World U20 Championship in Oregon, USA (August 5-9) and the European Championship in Birmingham, UK (August 10-16).
