The old personal record of G. Galvydytė was 4 minutes 05.05 seconds, and the Lithuanian record (4 minutes 00.24 seconds) belonging to Laimutė Baikauskaitė was not far away.
The World Championships will take place in Tokyo (Japan) from September 13 to 21. Discus thrower Mykolas Alekna also has a direct ticket to the planet’s championships. The norms for the championship can be carried out until August 25.
At the end of June, the athlete also approached the 800 m norm (1 minute 59.00 sec.), when she covered the distance in Madrid (Spain) in 1 minute 59.96 seconds. The athlete’s personal record in this event is 1 minute 59.18 seconds, and this winter season G. Galvydytė improved the Lithuanian indoor records of 800 m (2 minutes 00.97 seconds), 1500 m (4 minutes 05.32 seconds) and 1 mile (4 minutes 22.76 seconds).
