The Lithuanian Athletics Federation (LLAF), by promoting and developing athletics sports in Lithuania, is responsible for providing children and adults with conditions to safely pursue the goals of sports activities and develop sports talents. Everyone has the right to participate in sports activities without any coercion, harassment or exploitation, and must be treated with respect and dignity.
Creating a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is respected and valued is one of the most important things in modern sports. Everyone involved in athletics has a role to play by actively contributing to and preventing abuse, harassment or exploitation by others. The aim is to ensure the safety and security of all those involved in athletics, regardless of a person’s origin, age, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation, be they athletes, officers, managers, employees, volunteers, partners or contractors.
The Lithuanian Athletics Federation, in accordance with the recommendations of international associations, adheres to the norms of the principle of personal protection in the sport of athletics, which comply with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, has developed and approved the rules for the prevention of harassment, sexual harassment and violence, as well as the policy documents on harassment and violence.

The Lithuanian Athletics Federation asks the sports community not to be indifferent and if they notice or experience cases of violence and harassment in our sport, to contact the relevant institutions, whose contacts are indicated below. The person may also fill in the Notification Form approved by the LLAF on a possible case of violence or harassment and submit it to the Security Officer by e-mail: info@laf.lt
