August 16-17 The sixth stage of the EMA (European Masters Athletics) league took place in Liepaja.
Among their winners were Vytautas Zaniauskas (distance, 5.06), Lina Zaniauskienė (height, 1.25) and Genovaitė Kazlauskienė (shot put, 10.96).
Second place went to Arūnas Balčiūnas (400 m, 57.46), Algirdas Petravičius (distance, 4.91), Arūnas Andrijauskas (shot put, 12.62), Oksana Choda (100 m, 13.47 and 400 m, 1:03.15), Milda Zubavičienė (800 m, 2:31.06).
Third places were taken by Svajūnas Mikalčius (100 m, 12.29), Arūnas Balčiūnas (800 m, 2:09.68), Petras Pranckūnas (3000 m, 10:03.06), Algirdas Petravičius (triple jump, 10.56), Ingrida Urbutienė (height, 1.29).
At the same time, the Latvian Masters Championship was held. The best result in pole vault was recorded by Vytautas Zaniauskas (3.20), Arūnas Andrijauskas was second in the discus throw (40.52).
