In the National Sports Agency (NSA) awards “Inspire to Move”, held for the second year, the Lithuanian Athletics Federation (LLAF) was awarded 1st place in the nomination “Leader in Sports Science and Medicine”. It assesses investments in athletes’ medical care, rehabilitation, research volumes, and innovative initiatives in the field of sports science or medicine.
It is noted that LLAF uses various institutions for the treatment and diagnosis of athletes, uses personalized rehabilitation and physiotherapy services. This shows a professional approach to the well-being of every athlete.
LLAF also won 2nd place in the nomination “Most Active Organization”. It is awarded to the sports organizations that have submitted the most applications to NSA competitions. The fight in this nomination was extremely tenacious, because two organizations submitted the same number of applications, so the first place was determined by the votes of the jury. This year, the LLAF submitted 11 applications for various NSA competitions.
LLAF is one of the four sports federations in the country that received prizes in as many as two nominations.
